Six Rivers Youth Sports

On Friday, December 9, 2022 we said, “goodbye” to RollerWorld, and “hello!” to Six Rivers Youth Sports! RollerWorld has been an iconic piece of the community and beyond. A proper goodbye to RollerWorld is the least we could do to honor the legacy that once was. Now, the property has a bright future as a multi-use sports complex, including an indoor ice arena!

The event was well attended by those who once loved RollerWorld, supporters of Six Rivers Youth Sports, community members, and more. Throughout the evening kids and adults played games on the turf, community members learned about the future of Six Rivers Youth Sports, and pizza from The Osprey was enjoyed by all, alongside oysters from Mere Point Oyster Co.

The silent auction raised $8,841 thanks to the generous item donations, and generous bidders who participated in the auction! There were a couple of bidding wars that put the auction into “overtime” in the final moments before closing.

The Osprey and Mere Point Oyster Co. both made donations from their sales. Green Bee Soda, Flight Deck Brewing, and Bootleggers Beverage, all made donations to the event. Crooker Construction graciously donated the use of two work lights to illuminate our parking lot! This event would not have been possible without amazing community support. Thank you!

All funds raised from the evening will go towards the SRYS Raise the Rink Capital Campaign!
